Présentation: Opatija (en italien Abbazia) est une ville et une municipalité située en Istrie, au fond de la baie de Kvarner, dans le Comitat de Primorje-Gorski Kotar, en Croatie. Au recensement de 2001, la municipalité comptait 12 719 habitants, dont 86,85 % de Croates et la ville seule comptait 7 850 habitants . La ville se situe à 110 km de Trieste en Italie, à 200 km de Zagreb et à 250 km de Venise en Italie. Opatija jouit d'un climat méditerranéen doux, à l'abri des vents froids.
